Turkey and Boomer

I know I already blogged about Thanksgiving but I wanted to also post some pictures! I made these really cute turkeys thanks to ourbestbites.com and I wanted to share them along with some other photos.
See, this is my attempt of being better at the blogging thing! Since last time 2 exciting things have happened:
1. It snowed!

2. We got my mom a new dog named Boomer. He is a 1 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix and cute as a button. We went to the SPCA with mom looking for a kitten but Boomer stole our hearts. Right now he has a skin condition but they said it is curable so hopefully that wont take too long. It was quite funny as they were telling us about his behavior history and how he was shy and not interested in toys and took awhile to warm up to people. Right after we got him we went to the pet store and he was going up to everyone and when we got home with some new toys he was having a blast. Hopefully he'll be a long time friend and companion for a great mom.

Only 6 more workdays until 2011. So excited!

Cards For Everyone!

Last year Andy and I sent out Christmas cards for the first time! I had gotten a promotion from Shutterfly and luckily they are doing another one this year! They have such great designs to choose from and the quality is excellent. This year they are offering 50 free cards. Is that a sweet deal or what? The program is simple to use and they ship in no time. There's nothing more fun then dressing up in Christmasie clothes, putting up all the decorations and taking pictures. Last years were really cute so if you want in on a card from us this year be sure to let me know!

If you are interested in getting the 50 free cards you can check out the promotion here: http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/

If you haven't used Shutterfly before there are a ton of other things you can do on there as well:
-and a ton more!

Here is last years card:

Enjoy!!!

Oh So Lazy...

To those of you who read this blog I'm terribly sorry for the lack of attention I've given it. Starting November things just start getting so busy but here is a "quick" recap and maybe just MAYBE I can be better about updating.
October Happenings:

-We got to go to the State Fair which is always fun. This year the new cool thing was the Krispy Kreme Burger. It was a cheeseburger pattie (which you could add bacon and other stuff to) between 2 donughts. I think they said the calorie count was around 2000! Andy and I were not daring enough to try that but we did get 2 fried cheeseburgers (very disappointing this year!), apple dumpling, and cheesecake on a stick. We love walking around looking at the plants, art, and critters and the fireworks this year were AMAZING! Oh, the best part might have been the pig races :o)

-I went to a BYOP party (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) where we carved pumpkins (mine is the owl) and ate and hung out while Andy went to the fair again to watch the tractor pull.

November:
-Andy was cute and made me an entire birthday week, he totally topped last year and no worries he remembered the cake this time ;o) I think the little surprises are so fun!

-We got the opportunity to attend date night at our church and it was really good. It is for married couples and is just a night to focus on your marriage. Our band, which is fantastic, played excellent music, there was a nacho cheese "fountain" and a mashed potato bar (they served sweet potato or mashed potato in martini glasses and had topping to put on them, it was really cute!) as well as other things, there were games videos, and a message to get you thinking about your family goals. It really was a great time and I cannot wait until the next one!
-Thanksgiving! Andy and I had our immediate family over and it was just so nice. We are so blessed with such a great family. I only wish we could see them all more often.

Now that the beginning of December is here I think I am all caught up!

A Trip to Wilmington

I absolutely love Wilmington. The beach, DOWNTOWN, but most of all I really do have the best in-laws ever. You always hear people talking about how much they dislike their in-laws or cracking jokes about them but man, I have been so incredibly blessed! We traveled down there with Allie this past weekend. Its such a restful get away. Not being home and thinking you always but be doing something is wonderful. I think we relaxed more this weekend then we have in a LONG time.

We headed out to the beach Saturday. Unfortunately it was getting dark so I didn't get any really good pictures but on the up side we got to see this beautiful sunset (and listen to some guy who's really excited about astronomy talk to a group of folk out there).

Sunday we went to church and just lounged around. Couldn't ask for much more :o) Allie was spoiled rotten. She probably went on more walks in those two days then she normally does in a week...a month even, and she got soooooo much attention. I guess thats what happens when she's the only grandchild ;o) Her and their cat Newman even got relatively close to one another. Goldie however, was no where to be seen.

Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend. Can't wait to head that way again. Thanks to those who made it so great :o)

2.5 Weeks

Two and a half weeks...just two and a half more weeks until I track out. It's hard for me to believe this time last year I was quiting the learning experience and getting ready to start work here at Adams for 9 solid months with the only break being Christmas and here I am only in October wishing for trackout. What's so exciting that I am looking forward to? You would think there was something but truth be told there is nothing. I have, we have, no plans. Well, except heading to the mountains for a weekend if we get the chance. I have just been feeling so overwhelmed lately. There is no time to relax and even if there is time we always feel like we have to be doing something. Track out I can't wait for you to get here. Sleeping in sounds wonderful :o) Maybe I'll come up with a haiku later!

Hello Fall!

It's been a happy few days around the LaGrange household. Andy is so happy for fall's arrival he came home early yesterday and we took Allie for a nice long walk (minus the billions of gnats we ended up running through that ended up dead all over our clothes). It was AMAZING! To be outside and not sweat the second you went out the door...we really do love fall. There isn't much new and exciting going on.

This past weekend I had the chance to hang out with my best friend, Amber, up in Richmond. We headed to Kings Dominion and had lots of girl time...made me miss those U-Woods days!

Before the first coaster:
They were getting ready for Halloween
From the Eiffel Tower:
The Snoopy Characters seem to be the theme at Kings Dominion:
Setting up for the scare:
It's our street!
The best roller coaster ever!
Walking around Richmond:
It's Cary Street!
