This has turned out to be a big week for us. Aside from work being busy and slightly frustrating it's been quite exciting! Tuesday we added a new addition. Meet Riley (or at least its Riley for now):
We test drove a few other cars including the Ford Fusion and nothing quite matched up. Andy had this bright idea to drive them new and then drive the same car used to see how well they aged. I would have never thought such a thing. Anyway, we really did not like the Fusion at all and ended up actually purchasing a 2010 v6 Mazda 6 and man, she is so pretty! We got an amazing deal that was just hard to turn down considering we knew before the year was up that my car would probably be going to somebody else who needed it.
Last night, our date night took us to see Annie at the Progress Energy Center. I was surprised just how good it was! The little girl who played Annie was amazing and so were all the other little girls. It's crazy how much talent they have at such a young age. There were a bunch of added surprises last night. First being that the girl who played the original Annie on Broadway actually played Miss Hannigan! At the end her and the little girl playing Annie now sang "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" together. It was sooooo good! The second surprise had to do with last night being Raleigh Wide Open, which was this big party downtown celebrating the "new" Fayettville St (or at least that was my understanding of it). When we got out of the theatre about 10:30 they were preparing to set off fireworks right in front of it for Raleigh Wide Open and we just happened to get the best viewing spot ever. I have never been so close to fireworks, We had to wait a little while but they were so worth it! How our anniversary is going to top last nights date night, I just don't know :o)
