Wiggles and Giggles

This week we hit the 22 mark! Only 18 more to go. Crazy. I had a doctor's appointment Tuesday and baby boy is measuring just as he should and still has a nice strong heartbeat. They asked about movement and when I told them I wasn't sure but described what I thought might be him they said it was. Turns out I've been feeling the little bugger move for probably about a month now. It is becoming more frequent now and now that I know its him it is so much cooler! The other night Andy even got to feel him move! I'd say he was pretty excited! He's such a proud dad already!

Last week I went and had a 4D ultrasound done and Andy and I sat down and watched the video Sunday night. Being able to see him like that really made me eager to meet him and be able to hold him. Andy had a blast laughing at him as he was dancing and jumping around. Though he was hesitant (because it is slightly creepy) I think he really did enjoy it. I still haven't gotten Andy to take a belly picture but he is definitely growing. So for now here are some pics from the little guys ultrasound to admire:
Face:
Here he is playing with the chord. The tech said he is pushing it away when it touches his face which is a great sign that his brain is working very well.
 Leg:
 Hand by face:
 Foot:
Nothing to exciting has been happening otherwise. We've been getting his room set up and other than that working. Andy has still been getting home earlier which has been so nice! He's even had time to run Allie Bear when he gets home which they both really enjoy. There's nothing Allie likes more (except maybe riding in the car) and I know it makes Andy feel good to be able to get out and do something active. I'm looking forward to fall so that hopefully I will be more willing to do things outside during the week. Now I'm just done when I get home from work...

We're headed to Asheboro to see my mom this weekend. Maybe we'll have pictures of something we can post next week.

PS - I'm impressed. Spell check didn't find one this wrong! Has to be a first :o)

Over Half Way!

Today baby boy is 21 weeks! Only 19 more to go if we are lucky :o) I cannot wait to meet him and hold him and I know his grandparents feel the same way! Please pray we continue to have a healthy pregnancy that results in one healthy baby boy!

So there is no belly picture this time but I promise you it is growing. The sad truth is I don't currently know where Andy hid the camera and I am too lazy to go look for it. I know...I know...

The past two weeks have been so busy but we have been able to see some wonderful people. Two weekends ago Andy's parents were kind enough to come over for the day so we could trade the civic in for the truck for a couple of weeks. Andy has had a blast being able to do many of the things he hasn't been able to because of the size of our cars. The back yard looks a ton better and the changing table even came in so we were able to pick that up without having to bother anyone. On a side note, I'm slightly disappointed it's not the same color as it was in the store...quite a bit darker BUT its dark enough that it will work and it's the only one I could find in this style that will grow with baby boy and not just become useless once he's bigger. Now if only the chair would come before the weekend is over and Andy can go get his ladder. While his parents were here we had the chance to take them to one of our favorite places for lunch! If you are ever in the area head over to Anna's Pizza in Apex. It is AMAZING! We also headed to Duke Gardens for awhile after lunch. Thank you Mom and Dad for coming to visit! And for the sweet clothes you got for baby boy and the fun book I'm sure we will get a lot of use out of in the future :o)

Last Friday, I finally got a break from school. My grandma and uncle I haven't seen in a couple of years were able to come over and spend the night. It was so great to see them. If only they lived a LITTLE closer. It was nice to spend time with them relaxing and talking and just catching up on life. Lots of yummy food was eaten and Andy and my uncle even went and played a little golf Saturday. You must enjoy a sport when you are willing to get up @ 5:30 in the morning to go play! They were also so sweet as to bring us each a book, including baby boy, and my cousin was super thoughtful sending some maternity clothes my way. Who knew maternity jeans were so comfy!

Since I don't really have much for pictures I'll try to get Andy to take one later. For now here is that little questionnaire I filled out a couple weeks ago...

How for along? 21 weeks!

Total weight gain? Monday it looked like maybe 3-4lbs?

Maternity clothes? A little, but really just because they are cute, not because I need them.

Stretch marks? Don't think so.

Sleep? I wake up a lot for no real reason.

Best moment of the week? Getting to go with a friend to do some top secret girl stuff! :o)

Miss Anything? Time..

Movement? Not sure. Sometimes I think maybe. His little cushion is right in front of him though so they said it might still be a few weeks.

Food cravings? Well, today I did get a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a cup of doughnut holes.

Anything make you queasy or sick? Nope

Gender? Sweet baby boy.

Labor signs? Nope.

Belly Button in or out? In. It would take something serious to make mine pop!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? I dunno, ask Andy.

Looking forward to? Really knowing I am feeling baby boy move because I KNOW he is a mover!

I really need to update weekly so these posts can be shorter. I'll try. Promise.

Oh My - 19 Weeks

Time just keeps flying by. It feels like we have no time to do anything but when we think about what we've done it seems like very little...crazy.

This past weekend we spent some time cleaning up the house and getting rid of some things. Took some old clothes and what not to Good Will in hopes someone can get just as much use out of it as we did. We also took the time to organize some things as well as clean, though, if you walked into our home I'm not sure you could tell.

I picked up something funny for baby boy yesterday...just couldn't resist! I had seen it on Pinterest and found it in a cute little store in Cary:

Too funny, right?!

Yesterday was 19 weeks! I think true baby brain has set in. You don't think it's real until you do something ridiculous like I did...

Andy leaves for work well before me these days. As I was getting ready to go out the door I realize I cannot find my keys (now, if I don't put them where I always do this tends to happen as does it with my sunglasses...I can never find those things!). I look everywhere and realize that Tuesday we had switched cars so I could take Allie to the vet after school. His car key isn't on my key ring so I thought it would be a good idea to leave my keys in his console so I wouldn't lose them. When we got home Andy was already there and had the door open...I didn't need my keys to unlock the door to get inside. I left them in his console. Now he was at work with my keys in his car. Bad girl. Thankfully my husband never runs out of grace for me. He came home and made me feel like it was no big deal (though he works about 20 minutes away) realizing I was upset and told me that my baby brain was really acting up today :o) I love him!

Even after all that he came home at a decent hour and we were able to spend the evening at Irregardless Cafe in Raleigh. A friend of ours was playing banjo in a bluegrass band there last night. It was fun to get out and have a nice meal with some live music. An early anniversary dinner if you will, considering it is sneaking up on us next Wednesday! 3 years...it feels like we've been married forever yet it seems to have flown by.

I wasn't planning on posting a belly picture this week BUT I think this past week it has finally started to "pop" a little! It may have just been what I was wearing but still...

Anyway, that was a lot. Didn't really think there was all that much to say.

Have a great week!
