18 weeks!

We are 18 weeks today! 2 more weeks before half way. I feel like the time is going by so quickly but we are getting more and more excited about meeting this little one especially now that we know...

It's so hard not to go crazy and buy everything you see so I must admit I've given in a little. They make some adorable baby boy clothes and Target had a ton of things on clearance the other day so baby boy got about 10 outfits for around 15.00. I love a good bargain :o) It was all different sized stuff, too. That way hopefully he'll have a chance to wear it all!

Out appointment Monday went well and here are some pictures of baby boy (unfortunately he was sleeping and curled up with his legs tucked up underneath him so Andy didn't get to see too much movement. It was amazing being able to see parts or his brain, his heart beat out of his chest, and even his lips, nose, and muscles!
Below you can kind of make out a face. Definitely can see where his eyes are and I think he is pointing at you!

We know he is going to be a strong baby. The athlete idea still stands. Here he is making a muscle (the arrow is pointing to his bicep...cute isn't it?).
And here are more pictures of his arms...

Anyway, here is a belly pic at 18 weeks followed by a questionnaire I found on another blog. I'm thinking I'll try to do it at least every other week until it gets boring ;o)

There might be a bit of a belly there. We were concerned because I haven't gained any weight yet but the doctor reassured us that a baby is a great parasite and will take what it needs. As long as I'm eating and now getting sick then baby boy is just fine!
I think putting my hand there helps make it look like more of a bump :o)

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain: 0-1 lb. (hopefully that means there wont be much to lose!)
Maternity clothes? Nope
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: If it wasn't for this cough then yes.

Best moment this week: Getting to see baby again on ultrasound!

Miss Anything?: Being healthy :o( Kidney stones, lingering cold, and root Canal tomorrow...

Movement: Not yet

Food cravings: Anything made from potato and fruity candy!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I don't think so

Gender: BOY!!!
Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Just sick...

Looking forward to: Feeling baby boy move!

Other ramblings for the week:

-Andy is pretty much doing only his job now which I think is allowing him to come home at a more decent time. So thankful for that! Plus, I think he is really enjoying it which is such a blessing :o)

-We've had really bad thunderstorms lately, yesterday I got home to find pieces of our roof on the ground. Now we need a new roof...

-I have to get a root canal tomorrow. Ridiculous! Glad baby boy showed me that he was strong. Hopefully he doesn't come out addicted to all sorts of medications!

-Thank you sweet Momma Cely for sending Andy, baby boy and I some fun things this weekend. It's always fun to get packages and to go out matching your spouse ;o)

Alright, I think that's it for now. Sorry if I bored you!

An Eventful Week (15-16)

No pictures this week. We forgot to take one. Maybe this weekend we'll remember and I'll have a picture to post for next time. I must say not much has changed though. Maybe my pants are getting a little tighter, maybe not. Seems like the more I try though the more weight I don't gain!

Sorry for the lack of a post last week but as family knows we have had a bit of a crazy week last week. Sunday afternoon I thought I had what was a cramp in my back that just wouldn't go away. Sweet Andy tried everything to soothe it but nothing was working and the pain just got worse. Monday morning the pain seemed to have passed which was good considering it was the first day of school! Long story short I ended up leaving at 1:00 to visit my doctor to check on baby and from there they sent me to the hospital because I was in so much pain from what turned out to be yet another kidney stone. It was quite scary. I was afraid for them to give me any medication because it's not just me to think about anymore. Every decision that was made had baby in mind. Thankfully baby seems to be doing fine and hopefully the pain meds they gave me wont have any negative effects later on. They weren't really able to do anything because I am pregnant so treatment on trying to prevent my kidney stone factories from acting up with resume after the baby is born. Let's just hope until then no more large stones decide to make their way out!

(I think mine looked more like misery!)

I'm so grateful that it was nothing serious. It could have been far worse but God was gracious in watching over the baby and I. Andy was so sweet not leaving the hospital room except to bring me things to make me comfortable as well as taking care of the critters. Poor guy probably has bruises all over him from trying to console me as I was squeezing the mess out of him from the pain. He says it's just practice for December and he's already learned that maybe keeping his distance is best if he wants to come out of delivery with no broken bones! :o)

This past weekend was fun and full of visitors. My mom was able to come by Saturday so we got to get out and do girl stuff while Andy had time to himself to work on things around the house. Baby even got his/her first blanket! So soft and green and it has a giraffe on it. Thanks mom!

Sunday our friends the Puckett's came for a visit. It was bittersweet as they will be moving to Connecticut in 2 weeks. Their little boy, Noah, is absolutely adorable and so very funny! It was great getting to catch up, get baby advice, and they were sweet enough to bless us with some awesome baby products they found they loved. Thanks guys! Fortunately, Noah left one of his books on our table so we get to see them again tomorrow. We are sure Noah did it on purpose!

More exciting news...Monday we get to find out what baby LaGrange is! And Andy will have the chance to see the little peanut move around and actually look like a human. Last time he saw baby it was a 6 week old blob.

I'll try to post Monday with the gender or maybe I will leave you readers, if there are any, hanging for awhile...What do you think? Boy or Girl?

Hot Hot Hot!

This past weekend the temperatures have been aweful! A great weekend to have 2 baseball games to go to. I was stubborn of course and we attended both. Once the sun went down neither was that bad and THANKFULLY even though we are in NC somehow, the humidity wasn't that terrible. Friday it was 105 and we went to see the Bulls play. It was such a close game but so SLOW. By 9:30 I just couldn't take it anymore. Those pregnancy hormones hit and I might have cried because I wanted to see the end of the game but I felt like it just wasn't going to happen. At least I have a wonderful husband who graciously said he was ready to go home and did not once laugh at me. Saturday was another 105 degree day and the USA team prospects were playing. Again we went to watch that game but decided to eat at Tabacco Road and sit by the glass which overlooks the field until the sun went down. Pretty awesome idea. You could still see the game and eat in the air conditioning at the same time. Perfect :o) Outside they also have seats with fans and misters but nothing beats the A/C :o)

Other than that we tried to stay cool. Our church also moved into their new building. Its a pretty cool place and I think it will be a great way to build community among the members there. It's not as dark as it was in the theatre so you can actually see who you are talking, too!

Anyway, here is a 14 week picture taken in the 105 degree heat ;o)

3 more weeks until we find out the gender!
