We're Expecting!

Surprised?! If you're reading this you really probably aren't because hopefully we've already told you and if we hadn't, I'm sorry. I figure with a baby on the way now is the perfect time to try and blog on a regular basis, especially for the first time grandparents out there!

So here's the scoop...baby LaGrange is due to arrive on December 26th. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect Christmas gift :o) Andy and I are both thinking it's going to be a boy but we'll find out for sure on July 23rd. We can't wait! It's been so fun to share the news with family and friends and to see the different reactions people have given us (all positive of course!).

Funny story: I told people at work today by wearing an NC State shirt with a stork carrying a football player on it (I'm sure it will make it's appearance on here eventually). Most people said they already knew but some of the kids reactions were hilarious. It's a consensus that they want me to have a girl. But two of the kids said "Mrs. LaGrange, you better have a very pretty baby!". When I told them I'd try my best they said "It will be easy because you are so pretty!". Gotta love those second graders.

Today we are at 14 weeks, or 3.5 months. I had to tell because there was so much talk going on around 2nd grade, everyone thinking I was pregnant and trying to get me to spill...haha. As far as I know there isn't a baby bump. My pants still fit so I'm not quite sure how I "look" pregnant but maybe it's because I see myself everyday. Or maybe it was just my soaking wet shirt clinging to my belly from field day...

So far this has been a super easy pregnancy. No morning sickness, praise the Lord, no real aches or pains either. I was tired there for a while and really didn't feel like eating anything. Thankfully with the 2nd semester finally here I feel much more energized and eating is no longer an issue. I've gained maybe a pound (depends on the scale and the day) and the little peanut is getting bigger and bigger everyday! I got to see it last Wednesday and it was the coolest thing! Like a good friend said, I have no idea how someone can look at that and not believe. The little peanut was dancing up a storm. So much so the doctor asked if I had eaten a Snickers before I arrived (which I had not). They had a hard time getting measurements because it was kicking, rolling, and wiggling its arms around everywhere!

Sheesh, I can't wait to find out what it is. I feel so bad calling it, it.

Here are a few pictures of both baby, belly, and some other fun things. Enjoy!
