A Tent Event

This week in Read Across America Week as well as Dr. Suess' birthday. In order to celebrate our 2nd grade classes had a reading campout on Friday. It was quite fun and pretty relaxing for the rest of us. Some of the kids brought in tents and parents came to help set up. The kids came to school in their PJ's with pillows, stuffed animals, sleeping bags, and book. All day long they were either in their tents with flashlights reading or being read to be a volunteer who had signed u pto read to the class. After recess we made smores and sat in a circle like we were actually at a campsite. It was super fun and I can't wait to do it again next year!
