Get Crafty Baby

So I have been horrible about keeping up with this. Does that really surprise you?

As usual things have been keeping busy around here. Andy is in fix everything now mode so last weekend he and a bunch of fabulous people helped fix up half of our roof. We knew some of the people from church but the others were just friends of a friend who all offered to volunteer their Saturday to do this for us. Thankfully the weather was nice and they'll be back soonish as the huge dumpster is still hanging out in our driveway. Sunday it rained about all day. Andy went up in the attic just to make sure and there were no leaks! They did an awesome job and we are SO thankful for the money they saved us!

 Thank you!!!

Now, while they were doing all this I had to find something else to do since they wouldn't let a pregnant woman up on the roof. So I decided to make Christmas stockings! Yes, I realize it is only September but I had the time. Andy and I decided when we got married we didn't want to do Christmas stockings until we had kids and now that there is the potential that baby boy could be here on Christmas we had to get stockings! Even if he isn't here yet he will still get spoiled with a bunch of goodies from Santa ;o) I looked online and the nice ones are so expensive but I found this pattern online and I think they came out pretty cute. All they are missing is the monograms from Andy, baby boy, and mine. The other two will be used for the animals. Each stocking ended up costing about 10.00 to make and it was fun so I consider it a success!

I also was inspired to make them because I've been on a sewing kick lately. I made some fabric bookshelves for baby boy's room. I LOVE the way they turned out and they helped tied in our AMAZING apple green chair! Here are a few pictures of his room. Forgive the mess but it is still a work in progress...
The little baskets in the picture above are going to go up on the wall above the dresser below. They will hold some of the "jungle" beanie babies I collected when I was younger.
Also, his name will be going above the changing table(above) hopefully hanging from a stick we picked up from Bond Park.
 There are my bookshelves! (above)
And currently his poor crib is being used as storage...

Speaking of baby boy. He seems to be doing well. He's been moving more and more with each passing week which I LOVE! It's so fun to feel him dancing around in there and watching my belly jump. He is getting a little more predictable with the times in which he moves which is also pretty cool. I go back to the doctor on Monday and can't wait to hear his little heartbeat again :o) He should apparently be about 2 lbs. and the size of a head of lettuce. We'll see what they say on Monday.

So here are some baby bump shots from week 24. The lighting is bad but oh well. I feel like you can't really tell either. I feel like my belly is bigger but it has been a week and a half since these pictures were taken...

 And lastly for the questionnaire:
How for along? 26 weeks!

Total weight gain? ~12 lbs? It seemed to come on fast!

Maternity clothes? Still don't have to. I can wear my regular tops but my old dress pants are out of the question. I can still however wear my old jeans but I really love how comfy maternity clothes are so I wear them a lot anyway.

Stretch marks? Don't think so.

Sleep? Better than it was :o)

Best moment of the week? Getting our countertops templated (yes, I know that has nothing to do with the baby...)

Miss Anything? Not really.

Movement? Absolutely! I knew he was a mover...

Food cravings? Not really. Not a fan of cooking but that's more because I'm lazy and don't like doing dishes than anything else.

Anything make you queasy or sick? Nope.

Gender? Sweet baby boy.

Labor signs? Nope.

Belly Button in or out? In. It definitely isn't as deep as it used to be though...uh oh.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Honestly, I've been kind of moody lately. Not going to lie.

Looking forward to? My appointment Monday. It's always reassuring to hear the doctor say everything looks good :o)

Well, that's it for now. Hope everyone is doing well! We sure are :o)
