Wedding day was amazing. It was such a blessing to be surrounded by such great friends and family. I had never felt more beautiful in my life. I'm glad it was that day because I did want to look the best for my husband (thanks girls! especially Regina!). Everyone tells you that you plan for so long and the day goes by so fast that it is just a blur. I would agree that the ceremony was a blur but after that everything just seemed to go in slow motion. I was so exhausted, probably from not sleeping well due to excitement and the chance to hang out with friends and family in the hotel. I honestly remember telling Andy I was just ready to go home. We still had the 2.5 hour drive back to Cary. Anyway. The service was beautiful. The associate pastor at my home church in Greensboro performed the ceremony and it wouldn't have been nearly as special if he hadn't. He's like a dad to me. As expected Andy was choked up and I started laughing like crazy but it wouldn't have been our wedding if that hadn't been the case.
The reception was fun, we had a pig pickin at Poplar Grove plantation. It was a great place to take pictures and the food was pretty good. Our first dance was a failed attempt (my dress started twisting around at the top, strapless and twisting = not a good combination) but yet again, it couldn't be any other way. Amber gave a hilarious toast about Junior, his girlfriends, and Andy in his pilgrim suit. Ryan about made me cry. And of course, football was a blast :o)
I couldn't possibly ask for a better husband.
