I gaze inquisitively back in her direction and begin to question exactly what this means for me. My name is Andy - I don't do social media. It may be because I was late assimilating into it so I decided to be the old codger who bemoans such technological advances - or maybe I'm wise beyond my years and will avoid the Orwellian-Google eyes from keeping too close of tabs on me. Either way, I've got my water wings on for this blog adventure.
We've had a busy first few weeks of marriage. In fact it's been a challenging few weeks, mostly because Jennifer snores and kicks like a wounded boar* and I'm constantly up all night. We've had to be flexible with our time, our house, our jobs and each other. Seeing Steve the other night for a movie was the first social thing we've done since the wedding, and it's not that we don't want to - there just doesn't seem to be enough time.
Jennifer was having a difficult time trying to find a teacher assistant position here due to the well publicized budget cuts and hiring freezes for teachers. So when we returned from Aruba she worked to open her search wider to include preschools. After....oh about 2 days.... she interviewed with a local preschool and was hired on as a part time assistant. I'm thinking this is great, it will get her out of the house so she's not bored (and won't talk at me incessantly for the first 2 hours when I get home) and she'll pull some money in for our 3 little ones. Well let's just say they hired her for a part time position and now just a week later it seems like they can't promote her to full time fast enough. It seems that she makes quite an impression wherever she is around kids.

Whew, I guess that wasn't so bad, you know the whole blogging thing. Although I'm thinking now with this liberty to put ideas into text I would have abused it if I were Jennifer. I mean she could have been keying posts on my behalf saying off the wall stuff. She could have pretended to post as me telling the world how spectacular she is and how much I love her - I'm talking embarrassingly mushy stuff. Or she could have made me look bad during the final wedding preparations, like "the colors were all wrong and he yelled at me to stop crying!" But she didn't - she's a cool girl...er woman.

*Jennifer doesn't actually snore, that would be me. And the reason I'm up all night is because I'm working night shifts this week. (seriously this is the Internet - why do I still have to tell the truth?)

Andy welcome to the blog world! I am glad that things are settling with the two of you and pray that your marriage will bring you nothing but happiness like mine has! (yes even with fights I am happier than I have ever been):)
