The grounds where we stayed were beautiful! Here is the description from the Shenandoah Crossing website:
Located on over 1,000 acres of rolling hillside and lush pasture lands with a scenic 60-acre lake, Shenandoah Crossing is the perfect place for those who love the outdoors.
There were indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, mini-golf, playgrounds, and more than I could remember. You really would never have to leave if you didn't want to. My favorite part of the entire place besides our yurt though was definitely the horses! I made many friends while we were there so here are some pictures of them and of the pastures and barn:
The sun actually snuck out for a second.
This is Doc. He was super sweet although quite upset to be separated from his half brother Duke because he had a hurt leg.
Doc and Duke
Andy likes to be artsy...
Lots of horses = Lots of poop
This was probably my favorite horse. I have no idea what her name was.
I had never seen so many horses lay down at once. I feel like when I was a little girl someone told me they only laid down if they were sick. After seeing all these horses I'd have to say I was told wrong.
More Doc...he was easily accessible.
Pony!
The lone goat. I still can't figure out why they have only one goat but he apparently thinks he is a horse.
